Surely those whom the angels cause to die while they are unjust to their souls, they shall say: "In what state were you?" They shall respond: "We were weak in the earth." They shall say: "Was not Allah's earth spacious, so that you should have migrated therein?" (Quran, 4:97)
INTRODUCTION
Should we not question the notion that we are on a spinning ball flying through space at alarming speeds, covering over a million miles a day, while yet the stars have the same position each year? Should we not question the idea that our earth tilts Satanically 66.6 degrees from horizontal (23.4 degree tilt) each season, and yet the North Star remains fixed? Without using CGI NASA photos and fakery, has there ever been experiments to prove the supposed curvature of the earth? You bet there has been, except they have ended in failure.
The Flat Earth theory has been gaining much popularity as more people begin to question the dogmatic beliefs of science authorities. Many lies, including those from NASA, are being unravelled before us, and they are not only about the moon landing. Some of these lies go as far back as John Kepler and Copernicus himself. To learn more about the Flat Earth with an open mind, using observable science, I have provided videos and links below that can be used as an entry-point for researching the topic.
SPREAD OUT LIKE A BED
What does the Quran say about the true nature of this earth that we live on? Does it hint to a different shape than what we have been told by authorities. Let us take a closer look:
Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (Who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits. (Quran 2:22)
Sahih International translation goes even further to translate the verse as, "Who made for you the earth a bed [spread out]". It appears that this is one of the few translators who actually uses the correct terminology. Why do I say that? Because the word firāshan (فِرَاشًا) is used in other places in the Quran to mean bed, and as a verb to mean spread out. Let us examine this:
And the earth We have spread out (farashnāhā - فَرَشْنَاهَا) , and excellent is the preparer. (51:48)
Reclining on beds (furushin - فُرُشٍ) whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low (55:54).
If you use the word firāshan (فِرَاشًا) today, people will most commonly know you are referring to a bed. If the earth were truly a globe, why would Allah not say He created the earth like an orange, an olive, or a grape? Instead we are told it is spread out like a bed.
In another verse we are told, "By the Earth and its expanse" (91:6). The word used is ṭaḥāhā - طَحَاهَا, which means a surface area or expanse. Similarly, we read:
And the earth have We spread out (madadnāhā - مَدَدْنَاهَا), and placed therein firm hills, and caused each seemly thing to grow therein. (15:19)
The triliteral root mīm dāl dāl (م د د) occurs 32 times in the Quran, in nine derived forms, and in nearly all these cases, it is used to mean extend or spread. Yusuf Ali even adds the emphasis for 15:19 by stating, "spread out (like a carpet)". Therefore, the Creator made the earth spread out, and did not wrap it into a ball.
EARTH IS A RECEPTACLE
The idea that earth is a receptacle, which contains and encloses things inside, along with the firmament dome, is very similar to Enoch's explanation of the world. In the following verse, we are told:
The word used, kifātan - كِفَاتًا, has been translated by some as container or receptacle. Could this be the reason as to how the earth holds water, taking on a different shape than what we are told? If earth was a sphere, how does curved water hold on to a globe, and yet we always find water flattensout on any surface? Some might argue that it is gravity, a force that often contradicts itself. We must remember that the force of gravity was thought up in order to solve the problem of a sphere holding water on its surface, and gravity is the explain-all for many observations that don't make sense. Newton had to add weight into his gravity formula of F=mg, because he found that heavier objects fall with more force, instead of simply observing the fact of density. Air is less dense and therefore rises in water, and helium is less dense than air and therefore rises in the air.
IS EARTH TRULY ROUND?
Let us examine another verse, in which Muslims are often mislead to believe the earth is egg-shaped: And after that He spread the earth. (79:30). Definitely no mention of eggs and no mention of round or oval. The word daḥāhā - دَحَاهَا is only used once in the Quran, which is in that verse. Typing this also into Google Translate, we can see that it does indeed mean spread.
The closest I have gotten to the word roundin the Quran is the triliteral root ḥā wāw lām (ح و ل), which occurs 25 times in the Quran, in five derived forms. It may also mean surrounding. However, in no instances is it used to describe motion around the earth, or the earth around the sun for that matter.
THE SUN AND MOON ORBIT
The Quran, as do other scriptures, tells us that the sun, planets, and moon all move in an orbit around our geocentric world. Speaking on the matter of planets and orbits, we are told:
And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all in an orbit are swimming. (21:33)
It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. (36:40)
The triliteral root fā lām kāf (ف ل ك), used for orbit, occurs 25 times in the Quran in two derived forms. In those two verses it is used as falakin - فَلَكٍ, which many have translated as orbit, but interestingly, in all other cases it is used to mean ships. The root word used for swimming (yasbaḥūna - يَسْبَحُونَ) can also mean glorify.
It is amazing to see the Quran describe how the night wraps over the day, and vice-versa. Why does the sky not suddenly become dark when the sun goes down? The description the Quran gives may hint to the sun acting as a spotlight around the earth:
He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Is not He the Mighty, the Forgiver? (39:5)
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, we can see that the Quran clearly does not speak of the earth as a sphere, and it hints more to the notion of a plain or surface being spread out, in which mountains were placed. The moon and sun are both mentioned as swimming above our heads, like ships. We must remember that some of the earliest Persian and Arab Muslim scientists, who brought us much of the Mathematical tools we use today, upheld the belief in a geocentric world. One thing we can be sure of however, is the harmony of creation as we see it.
Who has created seven heavens in harmony. You cannot see a fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Can you see any rifts? (67:3)
The firmament is something mentioned in nearly all scriptures and stories from past civilizations. It is something that science and elite authorities have hidden from us for a long time, especially after Operation Fish-bowl. For more proof of this, watch the videos at the end of this article, and research this topic thoroughly with an open-mind.
The Qur'an mentions the word sky or heavens(سَمَآء) well over 300 times. Due to our indoctrination as children and faked moon landings, we have been led to believe that humans can go beyond our atmosphere into what we have been told is a vacuum of outer space. The Qur'an tells us otherwise and gives us clues about the dome that lies above our heads, which may in fact be more than just the Van Allen radiation belt.
THE HEAVENLY THRONE
The ancient belief scattered throughout cultures and scripture has always been that the Creator's kingdom is just outside the firmament, which is guarded by flaming stars. In fact, there is numerous mention of the seven heavens, in which the Heavenly Throne surrounds:
His Throne does extend over the sky and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them, for He is the Most High, the Supreme. (Quran 2:255)
Unfortunately, government-owned organizations like NASA, which have been caught continuously lying to the masses, would have us believe otherwise. They would convince people that there is no throne beyond the sky, and they could race past the firmament, sending monkeys and even humans into space.
THE STRONG FIRMAMENT
Yusuf Ali is one of the few translators who chooses to use the word firmament to translate heaven in verses of the Quran. A closer examination of this scripture may render something interesting -- that the Creator has raised the heaven high, with a well-balanced structure that does not allow us to transgress, or rather passthis balanced firmament:
And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance, in order that you may not transgress the balance (55:7-8)
Keep in mind that the verb transgress (taṭghaw - تَطْغَوْا), which has been used in the above verse, can also mean overflow oroverpower.In other cases, this verb is used to mean going too far, in the case of a transgressor. The following verse states that Allah created the sky firmament with strength (بِأَيْدٍ:):
And the firmament We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] Expanders. (Quran, 51:47)
Now imagine a firmament or dome that is strong enough to resist nuclear missiles and rockets that are launched straight up into the sky. This is further supported by the verse: And We made above you seven strong ones (Quran, 78:12). The word used for strong in this case is شِدَادًا. That word, shidādan, can also mean intense, mighty, and hard. A good example where this word is used is when Allah speaks about the hearts that are hardened, to the point which they become harderthan stones. Therefore, this firmament is strong, hard, and impenetrable.
THE SEVEN FIRMAMENTS
The Quran tells us about seven firmaments of the sky and the earth. This is in agreement with many other scriptures. Interestingly, the Puranas and the Atharvaveda also speak about seven worlds (lokas) above, and seven worlds below. In the following verse, translated by Yusuf Ali, we are told:
Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge (Quran, 65:12)
Thus, we are told that there are seven firmaments of the sky above, and of the earth below.
THE FIRMAMENT CEILING
In another verse, Allah refers to the sky or firmament as a structure (bināan - بِنَاءً):
Who made the earth a bed for you and the heaven a structure and (Who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits. (Quran 2:22)
Why translators, especially Yusuf Ali, have not chosen to use firmament for heaven in this verse is not known. There is also another mention of the firmament being a structure in 40:64. I have chosen to use the word structure as opposed to ceiling, canopy, or dome, because it is consistent with the way bināan (بِنَاءً) is used as a noun. It also has a similar meaning to the word (bun'yānan - بُنْيَانًا), which is structure or building. This can be illustrated by the fact that 18:21 uses a similar word when it states, "Construct over them a structure". The verb form of that word means to build or construct.
Interestingly enough, where the Qur'an clearly uses a word (saqfan - سَقْفًا) to describe the firmament / sky as a ceiling or canopy can be illustrated in the following verses:
And We made the sky a protected canopy, yet they turn away from its signs (21:32).
By the Canopy Raised High (52:5).
This triliteral root sīn qāf fā (س ق ف) occurs four times in the Quran as the noun saqf (سَقْف), and in all cases it is used to mean roof, ceiling, or canopy. This is shown in 16:26, wherein it says, "...so the roof fell upon them from above them", as well as 43:33. Therefore, should we not think of the sky as a canopy?
THE FIRMAMENT BREAKING
The Quran makes several references to the Firmament breaking open, hence implying that it is a solid-structured dome above our heads. Here is one example:
The heavens may almost rend asunder from above them and the angels sing the praise of their Lord (Quran 42:5)
All translators have used this word to mean rent asunder or break apart. The word used for rend asunder or break apart is yatafaṭṭarna (يَتَفَطَّرْنَ). Some more examples where this word is used:
The heavens almost rupture (yatafaṭṭarna) therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation (19:90)
The heaven will break apart (munfaṭirun)therefrom; ever is His promise fulfilled. (73:18)
In all cases, all the various translators have used the words rent asunder or break apart. There are more verses which mention the Heavens or Firmament breaking open, this time using the word tashaqqaqu. This same word is used to describe the splitting or breaking apart of earth, stones, moon, and of course, Heavens:
The Day when the heaven will split open (tashaqqaqu) with clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. (25:25)
There is also a mention of this verse in 55:37, which states, "And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-coloured like oil." Some scientism supporters will spread the false notion that this verse is referring to the Red Rose Nebula photos handed down to us by science authorities and their Hubble-crafted garbage. Nothing could be farther from the truth, as this verse is clearly referring to the Firmament breaking open when the Day of Judgement approaches, and the angels afterwards being sent down in successive descent.
Therefore, we must ask ourselves, if there is no solid structure above our heads, why is there mention of this Firmament breaking apart? Clearly, you will see in subsequent sections that this lower Firmament is heavily guarded by flaming stars, for those jinn and shaitans who attempt to surpass it, thereby entering into the Kingdom of the Creator. ANCIENT HEAVENS VAPOUR
The creation of the sky atmosphere and earth is outlined in the following verses, in which only Shakir uses the wordvapor instead of smoke for بِدُخَانٍ. I have used Shakir's translation throughout, replacing heavens with Yusuf Ali's translation of firmament,and period with day:
Then He directed Himself to the sky and it is a vapor, so He said to it and to the earth: "Come both, willingly or unwillingly". They both said: "We come willingly". So He ordained them seven firmaments in two days, and revealed in every heaven its affair; and We adorned the lower heaven with brilliant stars and (made it) to guard; that is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing. (Quran, 41:11-12)
Why did not other translators imagine a vaporous smoke instead of a dry smoke, as outlined by the numerous meanings of this word? This idea may also sit well with biblical scholars who believe in the Water Canopy Theory, which discusses how earth's atmosphere used to be drastically different a long time ago.
Many Muslims are also mislead to believe that the above verse erroneously speaks about the Big Bang Theory, which was one of many fabrications of pseudo-science fantasies and atheistic attempts to explain creation without a Creator. There is no proof of the fictional Big Bang; it is all speculation and is also refuted by Dr. Halton Arp, who uses a plasma theory to explain the universe.
LOWER FIRMAMENT IS GUARDED
The Qur'an also mentions that the lower firmament is adorned with stars in order to protect against shaitans. They are chased off by a flame:
And We adorned the lower heaven with brilliant stars and to guard; that is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing. (Quran, 41:12)
And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders. And We guard it against every accursed Shaitan. But he who steals a hearing, so there follows him a visible flame (Quran, 15:16-18).
Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, and a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. (Quran, 37:6-10)
Even the creation of jinn are banned from entering the lowest firmament:
And that we sought to reach heaven, but we
found it filled with strong guards and flaming stars. And that we used to sit
in some of the sitting-places thereof to steal a hearing, but he who would (try
to) listen now would find a flame lying in wait for him. (Quran: 72:8-9)
What is fascinating about the above verses is their resemblance to passages found in the Book of Enoch, which was discovered many centuries after the Qur'an was revealed:
From thence I went to another place to the west of the ends of the earth. And I saw a burning fire which ran without resting, and paused not from its course day or night but (ran) regularly. And I asked saying: 'What is this which rests not?' Then Raguel, one of the holy angels who was with me, answered me and said unto me: 'This course of fire which you have seen is the fire in the west which persecutes all the luminaries of heaven.' (Book of Enoch, Ch. 23: 1-4)
Considering that we have never been to a star, could it be possible that they are in reality something else, suspended not in a fictional vacuum of space, but rather water, as shown in this experiment? When we put NASA claims into question regarding their lies, could it be that the Scriptures and stories were correct all along, in stating that there is water beyond the firmament (upper atmosphere)? Let us take a look at various beliefs and passages from scripture. QURAN & BIBLICAL PASSAGES
Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. God called the expanse heaven (Genesis 1:6-8)
And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was upon the water- that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. (Quran, 7:11)
Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We separated them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? (Quran, 21:30) Praise Him, highest heavens, And the waters that are above the heavens! (Psalm 148:4)
HINDU TEXTS & INDIGENOUS BELIEFS
You are surrounded, Heaven and Earth, by water: you are the asylum of water: imbued with water: the augmenters of water: vast and manifold; you are first.. (Ṛig-Veda-Sanhitá, 9:4)
In North America, in Indian belief, the earth is a circular disc usually surrounded on all sides by water and the sky is a solid concave hemisphere coming down at the horizon to the level of the earth. (Levy-Bruhl, Source).
BOOK OF ENOCH
...He will open all the chambers of waters which are above the heavens, and of the fountains which are beneath the earth. (Book of Enoch, CHAPTER LIV - IV. 7.-LV 2. Noachic Fragment on the first World Judgement.)
Let us also not forget that Noah's flood, mentioned in numerous stories from different civilizations and scriptures, could have been a result of water pouring in from the firmament.
